I am a huge fan of the upstart band Silversun Pickups. Their debut record Carnavas is unbelievably catchy. I have been wanting to see them live for a few months now. Well, this past week, I was among the lucky few to get into the Rickshaw Stop to see SSPU live [If I couldn't get in, I was willing to drive 200 miles to Visalia the following day for their next show].
And what an incredible performance! They are amazing. Their talent is only matched by their down-to-earth attitude. They were pretty shy on stage and very honest - when the crowd requested the song “Three Seed”, the vocalist admitted they have not practised it BUT they will try to play it anyway. How refreshing!
If you can believe it, I am an even bigger fan now!
Get their record Carnavas NOW. And if they happen to play near you, do yourself a favour and go watch them.

SSPU is coming back to SF. This time with the awesomeness of Wolfmother!
Could be the best show of the decade.
